Being An Eccentric Misfit Excluded Nonconformist Individual

If you are seeking the truth, and desiring to live in a way that pleases God, then you will be the odd person everywhere that you go. The religious establishment is established and settled. To truly know the truth, and to walk in it will make you seem very weird in the eyes of everyone else on earth.

This does not bother me at all. In the beginning it bothered me a whole lot, but now it does not. Praise the Lord that I am going forward in the ways of God. I am moving ahead now in the perfect plan of God. Yes, this is how that I am supposed to be, and where I am to go now. This is really good in my

eyes. What really matters is that we have a clear vision of where we want to go with God. For me that is always keeping my eyes on imitating Jesus Christ, the original congregation of believers, and obeying all that King Jesus spoke and commanded that they teach the future disciples to obey and to do.

Yes it is a very lonely road to follow in 2026, but I am used to that too. I have learned how to deal with it, and I am now spending more time in God’s presence than ever before. Jesus promised persecution to his disciples. He also said that they would be hated by everyone for his name’s sake. So do not expect to win any popularity contests.

Luke 6:26 “Woe to you when all men speak well of you,
For so did their fathers to the false prophets.”

Jesus warns His followers that widespread popular approval often mirrors how people treated the false prophets, encouraging believers to prioritize God’s approval over worldly praise, and to love even their enemies. This verse highlights that true discipleship involves opposition, as people tend to praise those who tell them what they want to hear, not necessarily the truth.

Warning Against Compromise: It’s a caution against compromising truth to gain popularity, as false prophets were celebrated for delivering comforting lies.

Following Jesus Means Opposition: Jesus’ followers should expect rejection and persecution because they follow His path, not the world’s.

Discernment Needed: It calls for spiritual discernment to see if popularity stems from faithfulness or from pleasing people rather than God.

This verse contrasts with the blessings Jesus pronounces on the poor and persecuted, emphasizing that identifying with Him brings hardship but ultimate reward from God, not men.

Luke 6:20-38

“Then He lifted up His eyes toward His disciples, and said:

“Blessed are you poor,
For yours is the kingdom of God.
21 Blessed are you who hunger now,
For you shall be filled.
Blessed are you who weep now,
For you shall laugh.
22 Blessed are you when men hate you,
And when they exclude you,
And revile you, and cast out your name as evil,
For the Son of Man’s sake.
23 Rejoice in that day and leap for joy!
For indeed your reward is great in heaven,
For in like manner their fathers did to the prophets.

Jesus Pronounces Woes

24 “But woe to you who are rich,
For you have received your consolation.
25 Woe to you who are full,
For you shall hunger.
Woe to you who laugh now,
For you shall mourn and weep.
26 Woe to you when all men speak well of you,
For so did their fathers to the false prophets.

Love Your Enemies

27 “But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. 29 To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either. 30 Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back. 31 And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise.

32 “But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. 35 But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. 36 Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.

Do Not Judge

37 “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

Being a true disciple of King Jesus Christ is anything but easy. Life in this world is not made for us to be happy, and all things to go well for us. Yes there are good times, but there are so many hard and difficult times too.

As a Messianic Jewish man I think back to the troubles of the Jewish people all around the world. In modern times Jews had no homeland until May 14, 1948. When that happened the very next day the Arab nations gathered around the new Israel to wage war, and to kill them all.

The Arab-Israeli war, and the series of other wars have been a constant burden and struggle on the people of Israel. Even until today terrorist states continue to seek the destruction of Israel, and the world-wide death to all Jews.

Yet from the very beginning of the nation of Israel God has intervened, and invisible armies of angels have fought for Israel. Glory to God! I am indeed very joyful to remember the many times when Israel faced impossible odds, but took action and were victorious over their enemies.

Life is tough no matter how we look at it. We are to be soldiers for Yeshua our King. In the Bible King David had his mighty warriors in his army. If you live in Israel, which is God’s chosen country, you may be called upon to serve in the IDF. Yet for the most part we as disciples of Jesus Christ are required

to be soldiers and warriors in his spiritual army. Age does not matter in the army of King Jesus Christ. For we fight in the invisible spirit world against unseen foes. Our weapons are prayers, not physical guns. The people of the world do not understand these things. They think it to be crazy and strange.

We are not to be moved by these things. We are to fight faithfully for our King Jesus Christ doing his will with our lives.
